Hi, I'm David, a frontend developer with commercial experience across Shopify, WordPress and bespoke Symfony CMS platforms. I've built Shopify themes from scratch for household-name brands including Peppa Pig World and Paultons Park using Online Store 2.0, Liquid and JSON templating, alongside broader frontend work translating Figma designs into pixel-perfect, performant websites. I'm currently expanding into React and Three.js alongside part-time Software Engineering study with the Open University.

Hobbies & Interests

Piano

I have been learning to play the piano for just over 4 years now. I enjoy learning to play TV & Film music, classical and games music.

Cinema

I love all things film from independent to world cinema. Some of my favourite films are Amelie, The Fountain and The Shape of Water. 

Sculpting & Painting

Sometimes I like to relax by doing a bit of clay/digital sculpting or painting miniatures for Warhammer and other games.

Games

I love playing video games in my spare time, my favourites are Baldur's Gate 3, Red Dead Redemption 2, Detroit: Become Human and not to forget a classic: Monkey Island. I also enjoy playing board games.

Reading

I enjoy reading science fiction and fantasy novels mostly but I'll read anything that has a good story. Currently reading Knight of the Seven Kingdoms.

Archery

Member of a local Archery club, though life has kept me away from the range for a while, hoping to get back to it soon.
